1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and BLRSoft ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") regarding your use of the KA CSE 2022 Study Guide mobile application (the "App") and the website at blrsoft.com (the "Website"), collectively referred to as the "Service".

By accessing or using the Service in any manner, including but not limited to downloading the App, browsing the Website, or using any content or features therein, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you are accessing the Service on behalf of an institution or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

KA CSE 2022 Study Guide is an educational mobile application providing study materials, notes, multiple choice questions (MCQs), flashcards, coding examples, and related content for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students following the 2022 scheme under Karnataka universities.

The Service includes:

• Structured study content covering 5 semesters (Sem 3–7) and 37 subjects in the Karnataka 2022 CSE curriculum
• Topic-wise notes, chapter summaries, and purpose explanations
• Multiple choice questions with explanations
• Flashcards for rapid review and memorisation
• Coding examples relevant to CSE subjects
• Local progress tracking and study session management

The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial educational use only. BLRSoft reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. User Obligations

As a condition of using the Service, you agree to the following:

• You will use the Service only for lawful, personal educational purposes.
• You will not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
• You will not copy, reproduce, distribute, transmit, or create derivative works of any content from the Service without prior written permission from BLRSoft.
• You will not use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or similar mechanisms to access or extract content from the Service.
• You will not attempt to circumvent any security or access controls within the App.
• You will not use the Service to infringe upon any intellectual property rights of BLRSoft or any third party.
• You will not use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair BLRSoft's systems or interfere with other users.

BLRSoft reserves the right to terminate your access to the Service for violation of these obligations.

4. Intellectual Property

All content within the Service, including but not limited to text, notes, MCQs, flashcard content, code examples, visual diagrams, illustrations, graphics, App design, and software, is the intellectual property of BLRSoft or its content contributors, and is protected under applicable Indian and international copyright laws.

Subject to these Terms, BLRSoft grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to:

• Download and install the App on devices you personally own or control
• Access and use the study content within the App for your personal educational use

This licence does not include the right to:

• Redistribute or resell any App content
• Use the content for commercial purposes or commercial tutoring services
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Sub-license the content to any third party

The BLRSoft name, logo, and "KA CSE 2022 Study Guide" are trademarks of BLRSoft. You may not use these marks without prior written consent.

5. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

BLRSoft specifically disclaims the following:

• Accuracy: While we strive to ensure content accuracy, BLRSoft does not warrant that study materials, MCQs, or other content are free from errors, complete, or current. Educational content is provided for study assistance only and should not be the sole basis for your examination preparation.
• Exam outcomes: BLRSoft does not guarantee any specific academic results, exam scores, or outcomes from using the Service.
• Syllabus alignment: Although content is designed to align with the Karnataka 2022 CSE scheme, BLRSoft does not warrant that it perfectly reflects the current official university syllabus at all times. Users should verify critical content against official university materials.
• Availability: BLRSoft does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Website or App updates. The App may be unavailable during maintenance periods or due to circumstances beyond our control.
• Third-party content: Any links to external websites or references to third-party resources are provided for convenience only. BLRSoft is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of such third-party sites.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BLRSOFT AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits or revenue
• Loss of data or study progress
• Academic failure or poor exam performance
• Any damages arising from reliance on content within the Service
• Interruption or cessation of access to the Service

In jurisdictions where limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages is not permitted, BLRSoft's total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed INR 0 (zero), given that the Service is provided free of charge.

You acknowledge that using a free educational app involves inherent limitations in guarantees, and you use the Service at your own risk.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

If you are accessing the Service from outside India, you agree that Indian law governs your use of the Service, and you consent to jurisdiction in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

8. Changes to These Terms

BLRSoft reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also provide notice through an in-app notification or App Store update description.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service.
